ECCC sweeps Mississippi Delta

Also scoring in double figures were sophomore forward Quinton Campbell, a product of Mary G. Montgomery High School in Mobile, Ala., 19; and freshman guard Prince McDaniel of Pascagoula, 18. Campbell led in rebounds with 13. Travon Harper tallied 19 points to lead the Trojans. who dropped to 3-4. EC, which enjoyed its largest lead at 34-11, held a 43-27 advan tage at the break. The Lady Warriors and War riors resume competition after the Thanksgiving break by traveling to rival Meridian Community Col lege Thursday, Dec. 4. Game times are 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on the MCC campus.

DECATUR- It was another successful night of East Central Community College basketball Thursday as both squads regis tered victories against Mississippi Delta Community College. The Lady Warriors set the tone with a resounding 103-68 thumping of the Lady Trojans to improve lo 6-0 under third-year head coach Crandal Porter. The Warriors' (4-2) matchup was a little more interesting, however, as the Robert Thompson-coached squad held on for an 87-82 deci sion. Shakerya Morrison was the top shooter for EC's women, as the recent Florida A&M University signee blistered the backboards with 27 points. The 5-11 sopho more from East Wake (N.C.)
