ECCC Squads sweep Delgado DECATUR-East Central Community College's basketball teams remain undefeated after registering victories over Delgado Community College Thursday night in the Brackeen-Wood Physical Building. The Lady Warriors cruised 82-49, and the War riors held on for 63-57 victory, as both teams are now 2-0 on the young season. Both Deigado squads are winless in four games. Tynika Bender poured in 17 points to lead EC scorers. Bender is a sophomore point guard from Newton. Also scoring in double figures were Tashni-ana Thompson, 16; and Kalybriah Haskin, 12. Thompson is a sophomore guard and product of Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, Ga. Haskin is a freshman guard who hails from Olympian High School in Chula Vista, Calif. The Lady Warriors led 45-23 at the break. In the men's contest, freshman guard Prince McDaniel of Pascagoula was the top scorer with 17 points. Also scoring in double figures was Quinton Camp bell, who tallied 11 points. Campbell is sophomore forward from Mary'G. Montgomery High School in Mobile. The Warriors held a 29-24 advantage at the break. Next up for EC squads are home games with rival East Mississippi Community College scheduled Thursday, Nov. 13. Game times are 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Brackeen-Wood. From school reports
