ECCC First Pitcher Dinner speaker

East Central Community College's First Pitch Dinner featured Mississippi State University associate head baseball coach Butch Thompson, second from left, who is shown with ECCC baseball coaches, from left, Neal Holliman, head, and assistants Scott Deloach and Ronald Sims following the Feb. 1 program held on the Decatur campus. During his remarks, Coach Thompson, who is regarded as one of the premier pitching coaches in the nation, challenged the defending MACJC State Champion Diamond Warriors to "aim high ...find your identity.. .and never quit! He also told team members, ''To be a leader, you must first be a servant." The eighth annual event is held to recognize team members and program sup porters in preparation for the new season.
