THE NEWTON COUNTY APPEAL . -on-traditional careers touted at conference

Learning about hair-styUng and other information related to a career as a hair stylist are the above area high school career-technical students who attended the annual Non-Traditional Conference for Male Students held recently at East Central Community College in Decatur. Shown receiving hair-styling tips are, from left, Trevor Blalock and Jacquez Hardy, both of Newton Career Center; and Cameron Case, Philadelphia/Neshoba County Career-Technical Center. Cosmetology instructor Carla Jacome-Cluff and cosmetology students Kelsey Boswell of Philadelphia and Cassie Phillips of Bay Springs demonstrate the proper hair-styling techniques to the special campus visitors.
