The temperatures may have been cold on Thursday but the East Central Community College Lady Warriors had a warm feeling when they left the field. The Lady Warriors started off the 2014 softball season with a doubleheader sweep of East Mis sissippi, taking game one 10-3 and blanking the Lady Lions 8-0 in the nightcap. "It was cold but it was a good start," ECCC softball coach Kristen Chaney said. "I thought our girls played extremely well. You really don't know how you are going to respond until you play somebody else but I thought we played well in all three aspects of the game, pitching, hitting and defense."
