EC golf classic nets $10,000 in scholarships

Golfers representing SouthGroup Cox ln Carthage claimed the championship trophy but btudents are once again the real winners follow ing the 13th annual East Cen tral Community College Warrior Golf Classic held ear lier this summer at the Danc ing Rabbit Golf Club, located on the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw. Sponsored by the ECCC Alumni Association, the four person scramble netted $9,850 for student scholar ships, according to event co ordinator Stacey Hollingsworth, executive di rector for Foundation and Alumni Relations at ECCC in Decatur. The talented llnksters posted an 18-under par 54 on the Oaks Course at the Dancing Rabbit Goll Club, located on the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw.
