EC golfers participate in state tourney East Central Community College's golf team com pleted the 2014 campaign by participating in the MACJC State Champi onship held April 22-23, 2014, at the Pine Burr Golf Club in Wiggins. lege team, which shot 606 (315-291). MS Gull Coast finished second at 607 (305-302), followed by Copiah-Lin coln, 609 (312-297); East MS, 611 (316-295); North west MS, 615 (311-304); Jones County, 629 (321 308); ECCC; Northeast MS, 640 (319-321); and Aaron Tucker, who carded rounds of 80 and 73 for a 153. Tucker is a product of Leake Central High School. Taylor York of Choctaw Central shot 157 (74-83) for a 167 total, followed by Sawyer Williams, a prod uct of Parkers Chapel in El dorado, Ark., at 159 (79-80); Sam Williams of Newton County Academy, 171 (87-84); and Karlton Ginn of Franklinton (La) High School, 174 (86-88). Tucker, York and Sawyer Williams qualified to compete in the NJCAA Regionals scheduled May 2-3 at the Wolf Hollow Golf Club at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson. Williams was also selected on the MACJC All state Second Team. The Warrior linksters carded a two-day total of 639 (319-320) in the 36-hole competition, won by the Meridian Community Col Itawamba, 655 (330-325). East Central was led by
