College Introduces Monthly Safety Tips

As a result of recommendations made by the Safety Committee, East Central Community College has instituted a “Safety Tip of the Month’ to remind students, faculty and staff of the importance of knowing what to do in the event of an emergency situation. Topics include weather emergencies such as Tornadoes, Fire and Winter Storms and also include subject matter such as bomb threats and active shooters. Dr. Randall Lee, Vice President for Student Services, said, “Catalysts for this idea were the tornados last spring. These monthly safety tips have been well received will hopefully help our students and employees to stay safe in whatever emergency may arise. These are good, practical safety tips we all know, but it’s good to have a refresher.”

East Central Community College has recently digitized and made available a collection of The Tom-Tom newspapers from November 1945 to May 1993 & from February 2010 to November 2013.
