ECCCp~ Lawrence County High School basketball standouts Taylor Brister (seated left} and Mary Margaret Mclaurin (seated center) are shown signing the "dotted line" to continue their careers at East Central Community College Decatur. Brister, a 5-foot-.4 point guard, received MVP honors in Division 7-4A and was named to the AII-Distric1 7-4A team. Mclaurin, a 5-7 shooting guard, also received All-District and All-Division honors and was selected Best Offensive Player. The talented student-athletes are also recipients of Co-Area Players of the Year recognition. They helped lead Lawrence County to the 201 1 South State Championship and runner-up honors it1 the 2011 State 4A Tournament. The 2012 squad captured the regular season district championship.
