Thanks to agrant pn:Mded by the U.S. Department of Laborwith assistancefrom The Mont– ~ery Institute, four recent East Central CommunityCollege Certified Nursi~Assistant (CNA} graduates have been awarded scholarships to help them •move up" the healthcare ladder. Once completing the cNA program, these participants had to registerwith the state of Miss& sippi as a CNA. meet the requirements for the Practical Nursing program, and be accepted into the program. The healthcaregrantwill continue to ass6tthem as they continue their stud– ies in the ECCC Practical Nursing Program by providing the participantswith full scholarships for the program. The heatthcare grant participants were led through the healthcare ladder program with the assistance of Candy Anderson, RN, BSN, CNA Program Coordinator and Healthcare Grant Navigator.
