Receives Wheeler Scholarship Sophomore Cain Prestage (center), a graduate of Leake Academy, is the recipient of the Harvey and Martha Wheeler Pre-Pharmacy/Pre-Med Scholarship at East Central Community College in Decatur. Also pictured are Dr. William E. Wheeler (right) of Gaffney, SC and Roberta Wheeler Byars (left) of Philadelphia, who established the scholarship to honor the memory of their parents and to assist and encourage those who are entering the fields of phannacy and medicine. The award was presented during the annual AT&T Scholarship Awards Program held June 8 in Huff Auditorium. A luncheon was held in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria following the awards ceremony. During the 2012 event, 136 students received 111 endowed or annual scholarships totaling approximately $74,000 in value. (EC Photo)
