LA alumnus Allen chosen as all -stater East Central Commu–
nity College fast- pi tch softball players Tenna Patter son and Haelie Allen received honor s fol– lowing the Lady Diamond Warriors' successful 2012 campaign. Patterson was named All -Region 23 and both players were selected to t h e MACJ C All-Sta t e squad. Allen , a s ophomore in fi elder from Lena, led the team in batting with a .421 average. She collect– ed 51 singles and was credited with 24 RBi s. She also received the team's Lady Warrior Award. Allen is a product of Leake Academy. Patterson, a freshman hurler from Lexington, Al a., went 16-9 on the mound and posted a 2.68 earned run average. She fanned 117 batters. Pat- terson also received the Lady Diamond Warriors'
