ECCC band concert March8
The East Central College Band Department will hold its annual spring concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, in Huff Auditorium on the Decatur campus. The evening's per– formance will feature both the Jazz and Community
Concert bands. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. . Selections by the Jazz Band include '1.21 Gigawatts· by Rich Woolworth, 'A Night in Tunisia' by Dizzy Gilesp ie/Mi chael Sweeney, 'Clocks' by
Coldplay/ J obnson Wasson, 'God Bless The Child' by Billie Holiday/Sammy Nestico, 'Back Burner' by Carl Strommen, and 'Birdland' by Josef ZawinuVJobn Higgins. Concert Band selec– tions include 'Fire!' by Gary Gilroy, 'Eire'by
Melanie Donahue, 'By Loch and Mountain' by R.W. Smith, and 'The Stars and Stripes Forever' by John Phillip Sousa. Thomas W. Carson serves as Director of Bands and Ed Girting is assistant director.
