EC reports record springenrollment

A 1·ecord 2.665 Rtu– dents arc enrolled in spring· scmesler classes at East Central Community College in Decatur, announced David Case. Dean of Admissions, Records and Research. The new spring record surpas es the pre– ' ious mark of 2.618 tu– dents who attended class– es during the 201 1 sprmg term. Dr. Randall E. Lee, Vice President for Student Scnices, said the record enrollment i!, a result of the continued acadentic excellence and

olher opportunities for success provided by the College since its founding in1928. "East Central's con– linued growth is a reflec– tion of a quality education and excellent employees who work hard at provid– ing quality student serv– ice," said Dr. Lee, whose office coordinates the College's recruiting efforts. "It is amazing that the student body keeps growing despite a down– ward trend at most col– leges!" The vast majority of students enrolled at ECCC continues to come

from the College's five– county district. Newton County leads the way with 552 students, followed by Neshoba, 549; Scott, 395; Wmston, 289; and Leake, 271. Case saia 1,964 stu– dents are enrolled in aca– demic courses and 701 student participate in career-technical pro– grams of study.
