Award winners and their respective high schools include (seated from left) Zack Killion of South Oldham HS in Crestwood, Kentucky, Academic Award; McGee Ledbetter of Heritage Academy in Columbus, All-Region 23, Team Co-Captain and Golden Boot awards; Jesse Vaughn of Newton County, Defense Award; Taylor Potter of Bentonia, Mississippi School for Math and Science, MACJC All– State and Hustle Award: and Jared Canoy of West Harrison, MACJC All-State, Team Most Valuable Player and Team Co-Captain awards; (standing from left) Russ Thompson of Newton County, MACJC All-State; Drew Norman of Florence and Will Thompson and Jordan Walker, both of Newton County, honorable mention MACJC All-State; and Bryor Shorter of Florence, Warrior Award. The 2012 squad completed the program's best season by winning a share of the MACJC North Division title with a 5-2-1 record and earning a first-ever berth in the state playoffs en route to a 10-5-3 mark.
