In the opener, the Diamond Warriors·spot– ted Northwest a 4-0 lead in the first inning, but responded with seven runs in the top of the second. EC added six more in fourth before closing out the scoring onslaught with two runs in the sixth. Carlos Leal of Puerto Rico belted three singles to lead EC's offense. Tim Anderson and Kyle Henson both had two singles and two RBI. Fred Hampton, Kalik May, and Terrance Steele each had a single and two RBI. Jordan Mixon of East Webster picked up the win in relief. He allowed two hits and no earned runs through four innings of work. He also fanned three and walked three. In the second contest, EC outhit Northwest by a 7-2 margin but could not generate enough runs for a victory. The Rangers scored twice in the fourth inning and added a sin– gle run in the fifth to earn a split of the dou– bleheader. Hampton had two sin– gles and knocked in EC's only run. Starter Marc·cruso of Harrison Central took the loss.

Dubuisson went four innings and allowed four earned runs on six hits. Jordan Mixon hurled an inning and allowed one earned run on two hits. Wells hurled a score– less seventl:!. inning and fanned two. He also walked a batter. Co-Lin dropped to 15- 14-1 and 2-10. EC 16-1 Northwest 6-3 Following the split decision in Friday's non– division doubleheader, EC's record stood at 21- 13 overall while the host Rangers are 16-16.

Co-Lin, split with NW runs in the third inning and four in the sixth to claim the win. Velez was also credited \vith two RBI. Puerto Rico picked up the win in relief. He hurled a scoreless 1 2/3 innings and allowed one hit.
