DECATUR- East Cen– tral Community College's men's basketball team kept their playoff hopes alive by rallying to defeat Hinds Community College 86-81 in overtime Thursday night in the Brackeen-Wood Physical Education Build– ing. The Warriors, who improved to 11-10 overall, are 5-5 in the MACJC South Division and tied for fourth place with Copiah– Lincoln. Gulf Coast leads the division at 9-3, fol– lowed by Pearl River (8-2) and Jones County (6-4). The top four teams in each division qualify for post– season. Sophomore guard Kegan Houston of Quitman poured in 26 points to lead the Warriors, who trailed 79-73 early in the extra period before finishing on a 13-2 run to clinch the victo– ry.
