East Central women, men swept at home by Northwest CC from staff reports The East Central Community College women saw its record drop to 6-8 on the season Thursday night as they fell to Copiah-Lincoln Community Col- lege 54-59 in Decatur. ·

Kiare Etienne led Co-Lin (12-1) with a game-high 22 points, while G.G. Williams added 14 and Brandi Simmons dropped in 10 in the win. The Warriors wereled by Diedra Hawkins' team-best 12 points and Bianca Thomas had 11.

ECCC is back in action Saturday at 2 p.m. when it hosts Northwest Community College in a makeup game.

Co-Lin was able to complete the sweep of East Central in the nightcap squeaking by the Warriors to improve to 6-7 on the year. ECCC was led by Kenneth Barlow's team-best 19 points, while former Quitman standout Kegan Houston followed with 11. Curtis Loving and Bilal Kelly each dropped in 10 points in the home loss. East Central, which saw its record drop to 8--6 on the year, hosts Northwest Community College Sat– urday at 4 p.m. !he contest is a makeup of last week's matchup, wh1ch was postponed due to weather conditions. -Daniel Riadon
