Scholarship recipient Meghan Johnson (right), a 2011 graduate of 2 Leake Academy, is the recipient of the Dr. Frank and Bobbie McPhail Bowen Scholarship at East Central Community College in Decatur. The award was presented during the annual AT&T Scholarship Awards Program held June 16 in Huff Auditorium and followed by a luncheon in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria. This scholarship was established by Dr. and Mrs. Bowen and is award– ed to a graduate of a Leake County sehool, who finishes in the top 10 percent of their high school class and enrolls as a full-time student at ECCC the fall semester following high school gradua– tion.
