Vowell Inks ECCe Softball Scholarship . She was selected to participate In the MAC 4A-5A-6A All-Star Game scheduled at Newton County High School in June. In fast-pitch, Vowell was a catcher and batted .285 with 24 RBis for the Lady Rockets who finished 2o-9. She threw out so percent of runners on stolen base attempts. She was an All-District selection and selected the Lady Rockets' most valuable player. Vowell was part of a senior class that went undefeated in two years In both slow- and fast-pitch softball (20-0). The 2011 ECCC Lady Diamond Warriors won the MACJC State Softball Tournament, finished second In the Region 23 Tournament and tied for fifth In the NJCAA Division II Softball National Championship en route to a 37ยท15 record.
