Appeal Sports Editor A pair of MACJC South Division sweeps closed out the regular season for the East Central Com– munity College Lady Warriors last v,:eek. The Lady Warriors swept Southwest Miss– issippi (8-0 and 6-:3) and Hinds (8-1 and 7-0) to improve to 29-11 overall and lG-7 in the ~1ACJC South Division. EC opens the tourna– ment at noon Thursday against Northwest Miss– issippi, 24-21. EC 8-6 Southwest 0-3 The Lady Warriors capped "Sophomore Day" with the sweep of South– west on April 19 at Decatw·. EC improved to 14-7 in the division and 27-11 overall with the two wins. Southwest dropped to 6- 16 in league play. · In the opener. Taylor Bailey (21-6) tossed a four-hit shutout, stt·iking out five and walking one in the five-inning win.
