ECCC soccer teams close season with losses

Scoring for EC were freshmen Tre Wilson of Vicksburg, Deshawn Kitchens of Florence and McGee Ledbetter of Columbus. Wilson and Ledbetter are both midfielders and products of Warr·en Centi·al High School and Heritage Academy, respec– tively. Kitchens is a forward and hails }rom Florence High School. Ledbetter finished season action with seven goals and two assists for 16 points, which placed him seventh among division scorers and 13th in the state, pending the outcomes of other season-ending matches.

Soccer season concluded on October 18 for East Central Community College squads who fell to Holmes Community College in MACJC North from Division competition on the school Ridgeland campus. reports The Lady Soccer Wan·ior·s wer·e blanked 2-0 and wrapped up the 2011 campaign at 3-14 overall and 1-7 in league play. Freshman forward Kelsey Tadlock of Decatur· led the division in scoring with l2 goals and two assists for 26 points. The Newton County High School product is currently ranked sixth in the stale pending the outcomes of other season-ending matches.
