ECCCWarrior Classic nets nearly $8,200
Golfers representing Cox & Associates Insurance in Carthage once again took top honors in the 10th Annual Warrior Golf from Classic held on the Oaks school Course at the Dancing reports Rabbit Golf Club in Choctaw. The winning team - comprised of Aubry Cox, Jimmie Bell and Larry Waggoner, all of Carthage; and Bob Jordan of Kosciusko - posted an 18- under par 54 to win the four-person select for a third-straight year. The Cox team has won the corporate division four consecutive years. The Southern Pine Electric Power team - whose members included Chad Lewis and Jason Mangum, both of Decatur, and Jason Siegfried and
Michael Tolbert. both of Brandon - came in second with a score of 56. Twenty-one teams participated in the annual ECCC Alumni Association– sponsored fundraiser for student schol– arships, which this year netted nearly $8,200. "We want to express a big thank you to all the golfers and sponsors who helped make the Warrior Golf Classic one of the most successful in its 10-year history," said tournament coordinator Dr. Stacey Hollingsworth, executive dil·cctor of Foundation and Alumni Relation~:;. "Thanks to the generous support of our alumni and friends of the College, more than $35,000 in scholar– ships has b.een awarded to area stu– dents since the tournament's inception in 2001."
