He is also a former electronics test technician at Raytheon Sys– tems Inc. in Forest and was employed as network adminis– trator at U.S. .Motors in Philadel– phia. Johnson's work experience also includes ser ving as an elec– tronics technician as a member of the U.S. Army from 1996-2002. A 1997 graduate of Newton County High School, Johnson continued his education at ECCC, where he earned associate of applied science degrees in elec– tronic tech nology (2000), com– puter servicing technology (2001) and computer networking technology (2002). Johnson's community involve– ment includes serving as a member of the Union Volunteer Fire Department. He is married to U1e former Kelly Apperson of Union. His par– ents are Billy and Pam Johnson of Hickory.

Lanier serves as senior pastor of Northcrest Baptist Church in Meridian, a position he has held since Jan– uary 2009. Lanier spent the pre– vious 25 years in vocational evan- gelism.

A graduate of Clarke College in ~e~on, Lanier attended Missis– s.rppi College and Southern Bap– tist School for Biblical Studies in Jac~sonville, F1a. He attended ~ovmgt~n Theological Seminary m Rossvtlle, Ga., graduating with a doctor of ministry degree. In 2001 h~ ~~s awarded the doctor of ' d!VlOJty degree from The ~utllern Baptist School for Bib– heal Studies. Lanier is married to the former Janet Denise Lyle and they have two sons, Justin and Micah.
