ECCC announces baseball a~rard . \~lmners

Johnson. a sophomore 1 ight-hander, posted a 6-4 record and had a 5.10 earned run a\crage. He led in mnings pttched (72 1 3) and stnkcouts (57). Johnson, a L~.Jke Academy product, will continue his basebalb career at Belha\en College. Yates. who spent most of the season at second base, posted a .941 fielding per– centage. The sophomore also batted 339 with three home runs, two triples, and 11 dou– bles. and was credited with 28 RBL Yates. a product of Grenada High School. plans to continue his baseball career at the University of North Alabama. Hill batted .308 and had had live home runs, two tnples. 16 doubles. and 54 RBI Long posted a team-best .419 batting average and also led in home I1JOS (14), dou– bles (17). RBI (73) and total hits (80). He was also select– ed All-Region 23 and fust team MACJC All-State. Hill and Long are both freshmen. Awards were presented by head coach Neal Holliman and assistants Michael Avalon and Hunter Vick. The Warriors were run– ners up in the MACJC State Haseball Tournament and advanced to Region 23 Tournament competition before lini.,hing with a 39-20 record
