The Hinds Community College Eagles are in the driver's seat of the MACJC Baseball Tournament

The Eagles got a bases-loaded triple from Tyler Wells in the top of the 1Oth inning and beat the East Central Community College Warriors 12-9 Friday afternoon in the winner's bracket game. East Central led 6- 1 after four innings, but the Eagles scored at least one run in each inning from the fifth through the 1Oth innings. ECCC led 6-3 after six, but Hinds went up 7-6 going into the bottom of the seventh. However, the Warriors went up 8-7 after seven and they led 9-8 after eight. Hinds tied it in the ninth and won it in the 1Oth. The Warriors got two singles each from Tabb, Long, Stokes and Hill. Lawson and Vincent Kortbawi added doubles, while Yates and Velez had singles. Colton Mitchell , the sixth of six pitchers for ECCC, took the loss. He gave up four runs (three earned), four hits, walked one and struck out two. Barry Meeks started, went four innings, allowed one run , two hits, walked none and struck out one. He left with the Warriors leading 6- 1.
