MACJC Tournament Runners-Up East Central Community College's Diamond Warriors are shown follo\\ing their second-place fmish in the MACJC State Baseball Tournament held May 13-15 at Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson. East Central reached the tournament finals Saturda) but fell 11-7 to theHinds Eagleswho went undefeated in the double-elimination event. EC advanced to the championship round by defeating Pearl River 8-71ate Friday night.. The Diamond V.arriors fell to Hinds 12-9 in J 0 innings earlier Friday and began frrst-round action by outscoring Jones County 9-3 Thursda) night. ECCC advances to the Region 23 Tournament scheduled May 20-22 hosted by Hinds at Joe G Moss Field on the Ra)mond campus. Also participating in the double-elimination competition are Pearl River and LSU-Eunice. The winner qualifies for the NJCAA Division II World Series May 29-June 5 in Enid, Okla. (EC Photo)
