Area students at East Central Community College in Decatur were amog those receiving scholarships that will enable them to contiu.e ~heir college classes. The AT&T Schoalrship Appretcatton L:uncheon has been a campus fixture since 2003.

Kimberly Joiner (left), a product of Newton County High School, and Union High School grad– uate Ashley Barnett are among Newton County– area students selected to receive Mississippi As~ociation of Supervisors Scholarships for 2010, which are presented to incoming freshmen at East Central Community College in Decatur. Also receiving a scholarship but not pictured is Dana McKee of Sebastopol.

Brooke Livingston of Union and a UHS grad, is tbe 2010 recipient of the James E. Land Scholarship, presented to an incoming fresh– man at East Central Community College in Decatur.
