ECCC Students Receiving ~ational SkillsUSA Honors ... Representing East Central Community College in Decatur at the National SkillsUSA Championship were the above students who received various honors in their respective areas of competition. From left are Eddie Fondren of Union, who placed 19th in Technical Drafting; Richard Adams, 21st, Commercial Baking and Lindsey Bozeman, fifth, CNC Turning, both of Philadelphia; and Hannah Watkins of Sebastopol, eighth, Architectural Drafting. Instructors are .Polly Mayes and Ricky Harrison (technical and architectural drafting), Danny Gressett (machine shop) and Alexei Huguley (culi– nary arts). The national contest was held June 21-25 in Kansas City, Missouri. The ECCC students qualified for the prestigious event by winning first-place honors at the state leveL Students in all 50 states, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam and Puerto Rico participate in the National SkillsUSA Championship.
