--AA Academic All-Americans

Recognized as National Junior College Athletic Association 0-JJCAA) Academic All-Americans are the above 2010 graduates of East Central Community College in Decatur. Student-athletes who maintained a 3.8 grade point average or above qualify as Distinguished Academic Americans and include (seated from left) Abby McMillan (tennis) of Ne\\ton, Hannah Lee (softball, basketball) of Philadelphia, and Elise Gibbs (tennis) of Newton, and (standing Brittne~ Cochran (softball) of Hickory and Jason Hancock (ten– nis) of Decatur. Selected as ~JCAA Academic All-Americans, student-athletes earning at least a 3.6 grade point average, include (standing third from left) Jordan Vance (football) of Decatur and Alanna Fairchild (soccer) of Philadelphia. Other student-athletes qualit)ing as 1\JCAA Distinguished Academic AU– Americans, but not pictured, are soccer players Brand~ Greer of Carthage, Mamie Shannon of Philadelphia, and Jared "'lullins of Tupelo. Golfer Griffin Burke of Philadelphia also qualified as an 'JJCAA Academic AU-American. Student-athletes must have completed three semesters of college work and participated in at least one athletic season to qualif~ for academic honors.
