Roundup - East Central, Hinds split baseball doubleheader

MERIDIAN- East Central Community College's Barry Meeks led the Warriors for seven innings on the mound Saturday. In the process he managed to hold Hinds Community College to one run. The Warrior bats took care of the rest in an 8-1 win. East Central's Charles Hill and Darmaal Moore led the offensive charge. Both Warriors finished the night going 2-for-4 with a double.
The Warriors' Andre Yates and Danny Tabb both went 2-for-3 .

Hinds Community College managed to grab the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, though, doubling up East Central.
Hinds pitcher Brent Gay kept the East Central offense at bay through six innings.
For ECCC, Kort Bawi and Richie Long each finished with a double.
At the conclusion of Saturday's action East Central stands at 18-6 overall while Hinds evens out their record at 11 - 11 overall.
East Central will be back in action Wednesday at Mississippi Delta Community College.
