'Grove's Riley joins ECCC staff

Matthew L. Riley, of Walnut Grove, has been selected community based job training grant coordi– nator at East Central Community College. Riley, who began his duties Sept. 16, joined the ECCC staff with experi– ence in various work envi– ronments. He is owner of Riley Consultant Group, in Car– thage, company, estab– lished in 2009 which pro– vides professional consult– ing services with empha– sis on grant writing and management. He was previously employed as court director for Hinds County in Jack– son, from 2006-09. Riley is also a former court administrator for Georgia Superior Courts in Gainesville and Athens, serving from ·2000-06. His duties included grant writing and management and developing programs within the courts. Riley is a lifelong mem– ber of New Friendship Baptist Church in Walnut Grove, where he serves as assist ant adult Sunday

RILEY school teacher and finance chairman. He is a 1991 honor graduate of South Leake High School After completing his degree from ECCC in 1993, Riley continued his education at Mississippi Valley State University, where he received a bach- elor's degree in social sci– ence in 1996. Riley is married to the former Marie Cherry of Columbia. They have two children, Kymberli, 15; and Matthew, 10; both attend Carthage Public School.
