Dual Enrollment Nursing Program Available for High School Seniors

To apply for the Dual Enrollment Program, stu– dents must complete an application for admission to ECCC and the Applica– tion for Healthcare Edu– cation. The)' must also submit an official high school transcnpt, tran– scripts for an; college work completed and an ACT score. Students who have not taken the ACT should contact ECCC academic counselor Michael Alexander at 601-635- 6231 to make an appoint– ment to do so. In addition, each appli– cant must arrange for an official letter to be sent from their high school counselor verifyng: com– pletion of at least 14 core high school units or a 30

or above composite score on the ACT and a mini– mum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale for high school work completed (a B average). Students must also have the uncondi– tional recommendation of their high school principal or guidance counselor. The official letter should address each item listed above, as well as whether the student bas completed Allied Health I and/or II, although neither course is a pre-requisite.
