JUCO BASKETBALL Johnson joins ECCC basketball from school reports DECATUR-Todd 'TJ" Johnson was recently named assistant men's bas– ketball coach at East Cen– tral Community College, announced head coach Maurice Bowie.

In addition to .. 1:. coaching duties. Johnson was responsible for recruiting high school and community/junior college athletes in NewYork, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Mis– souri, Illinois, Florida and California. He was also responsible for coordi– nating all community fundraising efforts. Johnson's coaching experience also includes successful stints as a men's basketball assistant at Inde– pendence (Kan.) Commu– nity Colle e fr : . » - . Neosho County (Kan.) Community College, 1995- 96; and Midland (I'exas) Junior College, 1994-95. Johnson was a basket– ball standout at Bashor-Un– wood High School in Kansas and continued his athletic career at Kansas City (Kan.) Community College in 1989-91 and at Mid-America Nazarene Uni– versity in Olathe, K.an., in 1991-93. He later graduated with honors from Arkansas Tech University.

South Conference champi– onship en route to a 30-2 record. -
