Jones' trey lifts Lady Warrtors to victory DECATUR - Yolanda J~nes' three-point shot late in overtime gave East Cen– tral Community College the lead for good and the Lady Warriors held on for a thrilling 84-83 victory over Pearl River Community College Thursday night in Decatur. Jones, a sophomore guard and Lake High School graduate, scored 25 points - including five three-pointers - to lead East Central, which improved to 10-6 overall and 2-3 in the MACJC South Division. Also scoring were Quentinette Odom of Scott Central, seven; Shanequa Bufkin, also of Scott Cen– tral, six; Bianca Thomas of Sebastopol. four; Odom led in rebounds with nine. In the men's contest, EC dropped another close con– test as the Warriors fell 59- 54 to the visiting Wildcats, Scorers included Shel– ton Banks of Morton, five, and Kendrick McKee of Scott Central, three. East Central's Warriors fell to 5- 11 overall and 1-4 in their division.
