He also col– lected 24 RBis. Triplett, a sophomore and product of LouisYille High School, plans to continue his baseball career at Delta State University. • Johnson, a sopho– more right-hander, posted a 6-4 record and had a 5.10 earned run average. He led in innings pitched (72 1/3) and strikeouts (57). A Leake Academy product, he will continue his baseball career at Bel– haven College. • Yates, who s pent most of the season at sec– ond base, posted a .941 fielding percentage. Th e soph omore also batt ed

.339 with three home runs, two triples and 11 doubles, and was credited with 28 RBis. Yates, a product of Grenada High School , plans to continue his baseball caree r at the Univer s ity of North Alabama. • Hill, Carthage High School alumnus, batted .308 and had fi ve h ome runs, two triples, 16 dou– bles and 54 RBis. • Long, also a gradu– ate of CHS, posted a t e am-best .419 bat ting average and also led in home runs (14), doubles (17), RBis (73) and t otal hits (80). He was a lso selected All-Region 23 and first team MACJC All– State. Hill and Long are both freshmen. Honorees indude Two bowl sertes over 700 mark Both Roman Int:ram and .Jt-remy Wilcher bowled top game scores of 279 at Funtime Roll-R– Bowl on Monday, May 31. and both put together three-game series topping the 700-point mark. Ingram finished the night with a total of 737 which also included games of 234 and 224. Wilcher's series total

was 723 with games of 228 and 216 in addition to his game of 279. Other top scores dur– ing the Monday Night APPEAR Sonshine League includ– ed: Chip Tate, 232; J ason CARTHA Sistrunk, 226; A.T.
