New Lady Warriors Area girls' basketball players who recently signed national letters of intent to continue their athletic careers with East Central Community College in Decatur are (seated from left) Quentinette Odom, a 5- foot-7 guard from Scott Central; Jakiala McWilliams, a 5-foot-8 guard from ~eshoba Cen tral; Shanequa Bufkin, a 5-foot-4 guard from Scott Central; and Bianca Thomas, a 6-foot-2 center from Sebastopol. Odom received All-State Class 2A and AU-Division 5-2A honors and Bufkin made AU-Division 5-2A as they helped lead Scott CentraJ to the 2A South State title and a third-place ftnish in the state en rou te to a 28-5 record. Odom averaged 18 points and seven rebounds, while Bufkin aver aged six points and seven assists. McWilliams received Most Improved honors fo r the Lady Rockets, who fini shed 14-11. Thomas helped lead Sebastopol to the Class lA South State playoffs en route to a 22-5 record.
