Gunn is a graduate of Lake High School. The scholarship was established in memory of Mrs. Haywood by her husband, William Thomas Haywood, a former business manager at ECCC. Bishop is a graduate of Sebastopol High School. The scholarship was established in 1998 by family and friends in honor of Mr. Mayes, an ECCC English instructor for 28 years.
