Dr. Austin P. Boggan·, oper · ated a general practice clinic in Decatur for more than 50 years. Family representative Ada McGrevey is pictured with the scholarship recip– ient. More than 90 scholar– ships totaling approxi– mately $70,000 were awarded at the annual event, which recognizes donors and recipients of various scholarships. AT&T has sponsored the scholarship appreciation luncheon since 2003 .

Kimberly Blackwell of Louisville is the first recip– ient of The Iris Boggan Scholarship presented during the AT&T Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon held July 16 at East Central Community College in Decatur.
