Corporate sponsorships are available at the following levels: Gold, $500 (includes entry fee for four-person team and a hole sponsorship); Silver, $300 (includes fees for two golfers and a bole sponsorship); and Bronze, $100 (includes a hole sponsorship). Awards will be presented to the Corporate Team champion and the top three winners in each flight. Various on-course prizes will also be provided. Since its inception in 2002, the Warrior Golf Classic has net-
ted riiarly $50,000 in scholar– ship monies for students residing in the ECCC district, which includes Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott and Winston counties. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and is followed by shotgtm start at 10 a.m. Lunch will be provid– ed at noon on the course. "We' ve had great experiences at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club," Hollingsworth said in explaining the new venue for the eighth annual event, "but the Alumni Association Board decided it was time to again move the tournament to other golf courses in our five-county district. "By doing so, we are also able to lower fees for individuals
and corporate sponsorships." All but one of the Golf Classics was held at the Dancing Rabbit C lub. Forest Country Club served as host in 2005. Hollingsworth said the entry fee for individual players is $85, which includes lunch, a Warrior Golf Classic T-shirt, door prize and the opportunity to win vari– ous give-a-ways. An additional $15 is added to the fee for those needing to rent a golf cart. There is no addition– al charge for participants who provide their own golf carts.
DECATUR - A change in location and lower fees arc in place for the 2009 East Central Community College Warrior Golf Classic, the annual fundraising event that provides scholarships for ECCC students. This year's four-person scramble wiU be held Thursday, June 25 at Philadelprua Country Club, Stacey Hollingsworth, executive director for Foundation and Alumni Relations said.
