Warriors Midway through the third quarter, East Central Community College trailed 21-13 to visiting Mississippi Gulf Coast Community from College, but the Warriors school couJ~ get no closer as the reports n attonally-ranked Bulldogs pulled away for a decisive 49- 19 victory Thursday night in Decatur. East Central, which fell to 2-5 overall and 0-4 in the MACJC South Division, was once again led offen– sively by sophomore quarterback Emmanuel Taylor, recognized as one of the- state's top passen.. Taylor, a product of Early County High School in Blakely, Ga., complet– ed 14-of-23 passes for 138 yards and one score- a 14-yard strike to receiv– er Radarius Owens which tied the divi– sion matchup at 7-7 early in the second period. Owens led EC m receiving With six catches for 63 yards. Taylor also scored on an impres– sive 46-yard run with about eight min– utes left on the contest for the Warriors' fmal score. Taylor led EC in rushing with 17 carries for 133 yards. Sophomore running back Derrick .Cadc, who was one of the state's top rushers prior to being hampered with an ankle injury. saw limited action agamst the Bulldogs but tallied on a 1-yard plunge that brought EC wi~ in etght pomts in the third period. The sixth-ranked Bulldogs, who improved to 6-1 and 4-0, were led by running back Vick Ballard who clearly earned hts recognition as the state's top rusher. The Pascagoula native zipped through the Warrior defense for 204 yards on 21 carries and five touchdowns. His most impressive score came on a 49-yard dash that gave the Bulldogs the lead
