Once again the Warriors responded with a score of their own, this time when Dontice Sanpers tallied on a 6-yard nm with 42 seconds remaining in the half, climax– ing a 72-yard march in nine plays. Mangum added the PAT and EC held a 20-14 ad\ antage at the half Following a missed field goal by Southwest in the third quarter. the Warriors took possession on their 20 and drove to the Southwest 39. but the scoring threat ended when Taylor's pass was intercepted by the Bears' J.D. Ratliff at the East Cer.tral 46. Later, EC put together an impresstve march that began on its 9 but ended on the Southwest 16 when Cade fumbled while fighting for additional yardage. The Warriors missed on another scoring opportunity
