Hinds waylays Warriors
The half ended with Hinds clinging to a two– point lead. Hinds wasted little time scoring in the third period as Lemons connected with Wesley Mounger on a 59- yard touchdown pass with 11:48 left m the sta{\za. Thames added the PAT. The Warrior offense was stymied most of the third quarter, but began clicking again early in the final peri– od, thanks to a fumble recov– ery at midfield. During the drive, Taylor had a 10-yard completion to Hughes followed by a 6-yard toss to the Morton receiver on a fourth-and-2, whlch gave EC possession on the Hinds 36. The drive later stalled, forcing a punt. Hinds extended its lead to 23-7 on the ensuing posses– sion, as Lemons connected with Treyvias Alexander on a 24-yard TD pass with 8:19 left. capping a seven-play, 79-yard drive. Hinds took advantage of a Warrior fumble by marching 55 yards in eight plays, cli– maxed by atrick Durr'.s 4-yard touchdown scamper with just 43 seconds left to play. EC had 304 yards of total

However. the play was nullified due to a Warnor penalty.
