Stovall Memorial Scholarship established at ECCC
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES
A scholarship in memo– ry of Jacob Stovall of Philadelphia has been established at East Central Communit) College in Decatur. Toni and Don Sto– vall initiated the scholar– ship in honor of their son who lost his battle with cancer on February 28 2009. According to the schol– arship description, Jacob "was a fun-loving sopho– more at Philadelphia High School. ..who loved sports, his wonderful nurses dur– ing his illness and mathe– matics. His favorite sports were football, basketball and golf." Due to his interests, funding from the scholar– ship may be use~ for an athletic scholarship in foot– ball or basketball; a schol– arship for a business major; or scholarship for a nursing major Candidates for the Jacob Stovall Memorial Scholar– ship must be a graduate of Philadelphia High School, have at least a 3.0 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale, be enrolled as a traditional or non-tradition– al full-time student and demon trate fmancial need. The annual selection of the scholarship will be made by the ECCC Schol– arship Committee. The
