MAYES RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS PBL SCHOLARSHIP: East Central Community College sophomore Brookes Mayes of New- ton was presented the Rufus T. Jones ' Scholarship at the annual State Phi Beta Lambda Leadership Conference held in Tupelo. Mayes 1s the lone PBL member in the state to receive the award, which was established to recognize Jones' years of out– standing service and dedication to Mississip– pi Future Business Leaders of America and Phi Beta Lambda. The scholarship is pre– sented yearly to one PBL member who has shown dedication to FBLA/PBL through out– standing service and leadership. Mayes also received various awards at the state compe– tition and w1ll compete with other ECCC stu– dents at the National PBL Leadership Con– ference June 21-24 ,n Atlanta.
