Various honors were presented to members of East Central Community College's spring sports teams during the annual awards program held May 5 on the Decatur campus. ECCC President Dr. Phil A. Sutphin and respective team coaches presented awards. Receiving honors in baseball were Robert Westbrook of Little Rock, scholar athlete; Brian Jones of Scottsville, Ky., most valuable player and most valuable pitcher; Jack Edmonson of Louisville, most improved; and Josh Lafferty of Quitman, Jamie Clark Warrior Award. The Lady Warrior team was also recognized for winning the Region 23 Tournament and advancing to the NJCAA Women's Basketball Ch~mpionship in Salina, Kansas.
