Receives Sam Rush Memorial Scholarship

Brandon Cox, center, a 2008 graduate of Neshoba Central High School, is the recipient of the Sam Rush Memorial Scholarship at East Central Community College. The scholarship was established in 2000 by the Philadelphia Sertoma Club as part of their emphasis on education and was renamed in 2005 to honor the memory of Sam Rush. Representing the Sertoma Club is Ben Peebles, left, and Leigh Ann Rush, Sam's mother. The award was presented during the college's annual AT&T Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon held Thursday, June 12, in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria. (EC Photo}
