EMCC got its first run on a bases-loaded walk to losing pitcher Stephanie Pounders in the top of the first inning. The Lady Lions got their second run in the top of the second inning as Mangrum singled and scored on a double by Jorga Edmonds. ECCC made it 9-2 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth. Brass and White led off with sin– gles and scored on infield outs by Laura Smith and Chipley. In the top of the seventh, Lee drove in three runs with a double and scored on a single by Vick. Chipley had three singles to lead ECCC. Hillie and White both had a pair of singles. Amber Smith went the distance to get the win. "We just feel very fortunate to have won these two ball game~ because East Mississippi really came to play," Hill said. Dore'. Owens, and Sara Havard each had two singles for the Lady Lions. With EMCC apparently in the market for a coach for 2008, the Lady Lions showed the search may not be that hard. "I don't know what next season will bring, but they played really hard today," Neely said.

Codee Russell got the win as she threw the first four frames, then came back to throw the sixth and seventh innings following EMCC's uprising. Lee took the loss in two innings of relief. White and Brass both had three hits to lead ECCC. Bras had two singles and a double, while White had two singlE-s~ to go with her homer. White had four RBis. Leah Dennis and Amy Sharp both had two singles, while Hillie had three RBis. Dore' had three hits for EMCC. Lee, Matthews. Vick, and Ashley Clark each had two hits.
