College Monday to claim the MACJC Central Division title and a top seed in the state tour– nament, East Central Community College's Diamond Warriors did just the opposite, faiJing 3-1 in the ftrst contest and 4-2 in the nightcap to the home-standing Lions, thus end– ing competition for 2008. The defending state champi– ons finished 26-24 overall and 8-8 in division competition under second-year head coach Neal Holliman. Meridian Community College (10-6) advances to the MACJC State Tournament as division champion and Hinds Community College (9-7) fin– ished runners-up.
