ECCC sweeps Holmes Both East Central Community Col– lege squads improved to 2-0 on the young season by defeating Holmes in Monday-night action in Decatur. The East Central ladies took a 95-77 w(n over the visiting Lady Bulldogs while the EC men won.63-52. Coach Bill Smith's Lady Warrion placed five players in double figures il the win, with sophomore guan Mystee Dale of Choctaw Centra leading the charge with 18 points. Rashima Jenkins scored 16, Alish McAfee scored 12, DeShouri Spate added 11 and Yolanda Jone'5 of Lak scored 10 for East Central. The Lady Warriors led 46-30 at hal time and won despite a game-high 2 points from Holmes' Tiffaney Hayne - wh o nailed eight 3-pointers in th contesL In the nightcap. the host War rior built a double-digit lead (33-22) in th· first half and made it stand up.
